ABOUT US
Creations Event Management was founded in 2004 by Laura Sanders, MBA, CMP, CGMP the owner and principal planner. With over 15 years of professional meetings management experience, Laura got her start in the Meetings & Events industry in high school planning assemblies and school programs. In undergrad she continued to build her skills as the first Technical Director of her university's modeling troupe, where she designed and built themed stage settings. Exposure from the shows opened up doors for her to be the Student Coordinator for events ranging from Miss University Coronations, and other fashion shows to several music recitals. Since undergrad, Laura has had a host of Meetings & Events Management positions ranging from Wedding Specialist at a hotel, Meeting Planner at a major Financial Institution to Conference Planner for a Government contract.
Laura uses the business knowledge, accounting skills and project management she learned in her Master's program to ensure she adheres to the creative needs of her clients. She also focuses on the business needs and ROI each meeting or event will have for the prospective company. Laura had the privilege of doing an internship in Orlando, Florida at Walt Disney World, where she learned the epitome of the true art of customer service and hospitality. It is very important to Laura and the Creations Event Management staff that each and every attendee of any meeting or event they plan has a pleasant and memorable experience.
The Creations Event Management staff stays on top of industry trends through memberships in industry organizations, participating in industry conferences, reading industry literature and attending industry events.
